The MET Hooray Mips is safe, comfortable and has plenty of toddler specific features that will make every parent's life easier – while protecting the first rides of the next generation of mountain bikers. 

The shell of the MET Hooray Mips has a purposely flattened part at the back in order to be comfortable in child seats like the Shotgun Pro EVO. The internal shape features an engineered air channeling system to facilitate the airflow and MET’s unique Bimbi Secure Technology ensures that there’s no pressure points on the fontanel. 

The Hooray features MET’s Safe-T JR so the helmet will grow with the child’s head. This retention system is easily adjustable due to the grippy nub and the 360° head belt ensures a stable and secure fit. The ratchet buckle makes it easier to secure the helmet avoiding unexpected pinches on the skin.


In-mould polycarbonate shell with EPS liner

An EPS liner is foamed directly into the polycarbonate outer shell, creating a durable, lightweight construction that protects little riders from impact.

Extended head coverage & integrated visor

A deep construction with extended coverage and an integrated visor delivers all-round head protection, covering a large part of the two most sensitive brain areas — the back and the temples.

MIPS-C2® rotational management system

The MIPS-C2® low friction layer is mounted inside the helmet and is designed to move slightly during a crash, helping to redirect forces away from the head and reduce rotational impact forces to increase protection against certain impacts.

Fontanel protection – MET Bimbi Secure Technology

MET's unique Bimbi Secure Technology ensures there are no pressure points on the fontanel, the softest part of a developing head.

Anti-pinch ratchet buckle

The ratchet buckle makes it easier to secure the helmet, avoiding unexpected pinches on the skin.

10 vents with engineered air channeling

The internal shape features an engineered air channeling system across 10 vents to facilitate airflow and improve ventilation and comfort.

MET Rear LED Light & reflective decal

The integrated MET Rear LED Light features 4 spotlights and up to 60 hours of life, while a reflective rear decal enhances visibility to help spot a child in all conditions.

Child-seat compatible design

The shell has a purposely flattened part at the back so it sits comfortably in child seats like the Shotgun Pro EVO.

MET Safe-T JR fit system with 360° head belt

The MET Safe-T JR fit system grows with the child's head. It is easily adjustable thanks to the grippy nub, and the 360° head belt ensures a stable, secure fit. Straps with adjustable dividers ensure an individual fit.

Anti-insect net in the front vents

An anti-insect net is embedded into the front vents of the helmet to keep bugs out while maintaining airflow.

Hand-washable comfort pads

Soft comfort pads can be removed and hand washed to keep the helmet fresh ride after ride.

Fit & sizing

Designed for head circumferences of 46–52cm (XS). The MET Safe-T JR fit system grows with the child's head — use the grippy nub to fine-tune the 360° head belt for a stable, secure fit, and adjust the strap dividers for an individual fit.

Care

The comfort pads are removable and can be hand washed with mild soap, then air dried out of direct sunlight. Wipe the shell with a damp cloth — avoid solvents, petroleum-based cleaners, or harsh detergents that can compromise the EPS liner.
